For most of us purchasing a home or a multi family unit is the largest investment we will make. Therefore buyers and sellers must protect their investment or their pending investment and have the property inspected by a licensed Asheville NC Home Inspector.

A licensed Asheville Home Inspector is hired by you to check and evaluate the visible and accessible components of a home, e.g. plumbing, appliances, roof, electrical, foundation, heating and air conditioning units and so on.

Asheville real estate  Inspectors in addition can check for radon gas, perform a water test, lead paint test, mold, check for wood destroying insects and so on. An Asheville Home Inspector must be licensed by the North Carolina Home Inspector Licensure Board.

The cost of these inspections depends on different factors, e.g. size of house, what additional tests you want performed etc.. The average ball park price to do a standard home inspection is about (just to give you a general idea) $500.00. This in my opinion is well worth the money spent seeing how you are in the process of investing possibly hundreds of thousands of dollars. Whether you are purchasing asingle family residential home, condominium or townhouse, multi family unit or purchasing in one of Asheville's new home communitiesyou will need to have the home properly inspected. In most cases you will need to have these inspections performed and any repairs agreed upon completed prior to closing.

Asheville NC Home Inspectors do not address any cost of repairs and do not guarantee that the home complies with all building codes which are subject to periodic change. Depending on the Home Inspectors findings, you may also want to hire an engineer and/or AshevilleBuilder to look at the defect and make further recommendations.

An Asheville real estate inspection for a home will take approximately 2-3 hours (based on an average size and age home) to perform the entire inspection. Home Inspectors when completed will give you a written report and in addition most of them provide photos to help clarify, most of these reports are online and Internet based for easy viewing and sharing and they are usually password protected for your privacy and security.
