I will start off telling you about a truly great equestrian community called Balsam Mountain Preserve. Balsam Mountain Preserve boasts 4,400 acres of natural beauty and the views are awesome. This is one equestrian community that should definitely be on your list. You remember that old saying you can’t have your cake and eat it to, well I think we finally found its match.

Winding Creek Stables - Trail riding - Is home to quality school horses and ponies, excellent instructors, and dedicated riders! We take a comprehensive approach to teaching riding, focusing on the development of the whole person, the horse-human bond, and safe and effective horsemanship. Biltmore Estate - Trail riding - In Asheville - What a grand place to ride at the Biltmore Estate with 8,000 acres of land, five different 10-30 mile trail loops. Ride to the French Broad River, or gallop over green pastures. Don’t have a horse? Biltmore has 100 mares and geldings that live there, about half belong to boarders.
