Haywood Regional Medical Center is a 194-bed facility with a staff of 885 and a $110 million operating budget. Per the last fiscal year report (October 1, 2001-September 30, 2002), we served 6,148 patients on an in-patient basis and 90,312 patients on an out-patient basis. The Emergency Department volume has grown from 19,390 patients in 1999 to 23,534 patients in 2001, a 17.6% growth. From 2002 to 2005, the Emergency Room projected volume is 28,711, a 22% potential growth.

This is why Park Ridge places quality of care as its top priority, and continually strives to be in the top 10 percent of hospitals nationwide on the National Hospital Quality Measures. The Baby Place at Park Ridge Health
At The Baby Place, Park Ridge strives to provide a uniquely exceptional experience with private family suites and room service in a spa-like environment. The highly-experienced nursing team and the leading OB/GYN care team in Henderson County provide world-class care and offer traditional delivery, natural labor , midwifery and low-intervention birth options. Park Ridge Health is also home to Western North Carolina’s only dedicated C-section suite, including a family viewing room, allowing extended family members the opportunity to experience the miracle of birth.
The Baby Place experience begins with valet parking, where guests are then ushered to the comfort of their large, private family suite and provided with a luxurious robe and slippers. Park Ridge Health at Laurel Park:Park Ridge Health at Laurel Park offers a modern medical resource near Downtown Hendersonville. This special facility includes physicians who specialize in internal medicine, physical therapy, orthopedics, diagnostic imaging (CT, X-ray, ultrasound, bone density, digital mammography and MRI) and a full-service laboratory. It also offers amenities for added comfort, such as free internet, flat screen televisions, stone fireplaces and a picturesque rock water garden.
In 2010, Park Ridge launched the Center for Pelvic Health at Laurel Park. Pardee is a not-for profit community hospital founded in 1953. Pardee Hospital is licensed for 222 acute care beds. In addition to the hospital,
Pardee has a 130-bed nursing facility, an adult day care center, home health services, a health education center, a rehab and sports therapy complex, a women's health center, two urgent care facilities and several family and internal medicine practices. Pardee is noted for its outreach in the community through our wellness and prevention services, as well as high-tech diagnostic and treatment capabilities. The Asheville VA Medical Center is a tertiary care facility in all areas except hemodialysis, neurosurgery, and radiation therapy, and is classified as a Clinical Referral Level II Facility. Comprehensive health care is provided through primary care, tertiary care, and long-term care in areas of medicine, surgery, psychiatry, physical medicine and rehabilitation, neurology, dentistry, geriatrics, and extended care. The Asheville VA Medical Center (AVAMC) consists of 112 hospital beds and a 120-bed Extended Care and Rehabilitation Center. AVAMC also operates a Home Based Primary Care Program and a Substance Abuse Residential Rehabilitation Treatment Program (SARRTP). The medical center is particularly known for its strong programs in cardiac (open heart), vascular and thoracic surgery.
