Bent Creek Preserve is a new community in southwest Asheville. It is a tranquil neighborhood with 26 homes set in the Pisgah National Forest. Part of this forest is directly adjacent to Bent Creek Preserve and is called the Bent Creek Experimental Forest. This is a 6,000 acre area with amazing outdoor recreation possibilities. Biking, hiking, and horseback riding are all possible, and they have the reputation of being some of the best North Carolina has to offer. Camping, fishing, and swimming are possible at the lake contained within the experimental forest, Lake Powhatan. The NC arboretum and the WNC farmers’ market are among the many other attractions in or near Bent Creek. In addition, Bent Creek is only 10 minutes away from downtown Asheville.

The neighborhood plan was carefully designed so that houses are sufficiently private and contain a suitable amount of land. Lots are available as well – all are over 1 acre and are in forest land.
